Why this hike is priced where it is. R1,000 — our shortest route, roughly three hours door to door. There is no cableway ticket to buy and no separate descent to plan, so it is the least expensive day we run.
What happens after you book
You get an email confirmation immediately. Within a few hours we send you a WhatsApp with your exact meeting point pin, your start time and a kit list, and we add you to a small group chat with your guide and the other hikers. Your guide checks the forecast and confirms with you the evening before.

What fitness level do I need?
Lion's Head is rated moderate and includes short ladders and light scrambling. The full circuit takes 3 to 3.5 hours. It's suitable for active beginners — you don't need prior hiking experience, but you should be comfortable walking uphill for a sustained period. Our guides set a pace that works for the whole group.
Where do we meet, and what time does the hike start?
We meet at the Lion's Head Parking Area on Signal Hill Road. Start times are planned so the group reaches the summit for sunrise — the exact time varies by season and is confirmed in your booking. You'll receive full details via WhatsApp before the hike.
What should I bring?
Bring 1–1.5L of water per person, a snack for the summit, comfortable active clothing, a warm layer, a hat, sunscreen, personal medication, and hiking shoes or trail shoes with good grip.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Hikes are weather dependent and may be moved or postponed for safety. We monitor conditions closely and will contact you in advance if the hike needs to change.
