What fitness level do I need?
The sunset hike follows the same route as the sunrise — moderate difficulty with short ladders and light scrambling, 3 to 3.5 hours total. Suitable for active beginners. No prior hiking experience required.
Where do we meet, and what time?
We meet at the Lion's Head Parking Area on Signal Hill Road. Start times are planned so the group reaches the summit for sunset — exact timing is confirmed in your booking and sent via WhatsApp before the hike.
Is it safe to descend Lion's Head after dark?
Yes — with a guide it's entirely safe. We always descend the route we ascended, taking care through the chain and ladder sections. Your guide leads the descent and sets a safe pace. Bring a headlamp or ensure your phone torch is charged.
What should I bring?
Bring 1–1.5L of water per person, a snack, comfortable active clothing, a warm layer (the summit is cold after sunset), a hat, sunscreen, personal medication, and hiking shoes with good grip.
